Spring is rolling around which means SLA’s Softball team getting ready for their season and first game in just two weeks.
This game might be a little hard for the team due to some difficulties they are facing.
Counselor and softball coach, Zoe Siswick says, “It’s been tough because tryouts were pushed back due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. Practices start on Tuesday but our first game is March 22nd so that doesn’t give us much time!”
Practicing at tee-ball field at 22nd and the Park on Tuesdays and Fridays for just an hour is making their jobs even harder especially since, “we are “squatters” on that field and don’t always have space to use. When we do have space, it is limited and we cannot conduct hitting drills.” Siswick says.
Even facing all of these difficulties Siswick still has hope,
“We have a lot of great freshmen. I anticipate us having a pretty successful season.”
With 10 games to come the team has a busy season ahead of them.
